Originally named Liberté ex Twee Gebroeders this Luxemotor was built in 1924 in Rotterdam. Her name was shortened to Liberté in 1937, and she became Albatros 2 in 1977.
The previous owner found her in the 1990s, beached on one of the Friesian Islands, where she was being used as a motorcycle repair shop. He took her back to the Friesland mainland and lovingly converted her into a family home.
The current owners bought her six years ago in the Netherlands, and sailed her in treacherous conditions to Suffolk, where they stayed for two years before moving to London. She is 26.5 metres long, 5 metres wide, and home to a family of four.
